Founder & CEO
Luis Corrales is the Founder, and CEO of Corrales & Co., a comprehensive financial planning firm in Miami. He serves over 400 families and small business in the Greater Miami and Washington DC area to better manage and optimize their financial affairs. His efforts are focused on corporate executive with concentrated stock positions, and self-employed professionals & business owners on tax mitigation strategies. He has been recognized by various leading financial institutions over the years, and has also spoken at notable industry events, and a Congressional Panel to bring awareness about the importance of financial planning to the general public.
He hails from Lima Peru, and moved to the U.S. at the young age of 10. He graduated from American University’s Kogod School of Business in 2008 with a degree in Business and Finance. He is actively involved with AU’s Latino Alumni Alliance, and the Young Alumni Chapter. His wife, Mary Aileen Murphy, is also an AU graduate, and owns a successful real estate development company. They live in Miami with their kids Oliver, Owen, Lucy and their dog Otis.
RENÉ ACUÑA, MBA

René Acuña has more than 12 years of experience in real estate investments, structuring and managing strategies on behalf of high-net-worth and institutional clients.
In his role at Corrales & Co., René is responsible for sourcing, vetting, and structuring multifamily opportunities to spearhead the firm’s value-add workforce multifamily housing strategy across Sunbelt states. He also leads the execution of value-add business plans and maintains relationships with investors.
Prior to joining Cope Corrales, René worked at Alpha Partners, a New York-based firm, where he oversaw acquisitions and managed workforce multifamily assets valued at over $200M. In this role, he oversaw close to 1,500 multifamily workforce units across the Midwest and Sunbelt regions.
Before this, René worked at BCI, a leading bank in Latin America and owner of City National Bank of Florida, where he structured and managed $570M in JV equity and led large-scale residential and mixed-use developments. He has a solid track record in fund and asset portfolio management, overseeing assets worth over $600M for global institutional investors.
René holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an Industrial Civil Engineering degree from Universidad de Chile. René resides in Miami, FL with his wife and son.

Joseph has spent the past decade advising and managing individual and family office wealth at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, UBS Financial Services, & Alvarium Investments. He has helped clients by combining expertise, client focus, and prudent strategies to help achieve financial success.
As a private wealth advisor, Joseph specializes in crafting investment portfolios that include alternative assets, such as real estate, private equity, and hedge funds, to enhance diversification and reduce correlation with traditional markets.
Joseph resides in South Florida with his wife and three children, is passionate about sports, loves connecting with friends, and being active in his community.

Stephen is a private wealth advisor and tax strategist for individuals, families, and business owners. He helps clients optimize their wealth while aligning their financial plans with their long-term goals.
A CFA charterholder, CFP® professional, and an Enrolled Agent (EA), Stephen holds a Master’s in Global Finance from NYU Stern and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
He has worked across global financial markets, providing strategic guidance in private wealth management.
Now based in Northern Virginia with his wife and two daughters, he loves watching soccer and hanging out with family and friends during his free time.
MEGAN MORAN-NICOL
Director of Operations
Megan Moran-Nicol serves as the Director of Operations at Corrales & Co., overseeing the firm’s daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient business practices. She is responsible for managing billing, trading, and cash operations, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely. In her role, Megan collaborates closely with the firm’s advisors and client services team to address client inquiries, facilitate service requests, and uphold strict compliance standards.
Megan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she was also a volleyball player. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, as well as exploring new dining experiences and discovering hidden culinary gems in her community.
HSUAN WANG
Senior Client Relationship Manager
Hsuan (Shin) Wang is the Senior Client Relationship Manager at Corrales & Co.. Hsuan builds and maintains relationships with clients and, along with her team members, ensures that their needs are met by providing guidance and services to their unique situation.
She has been in the financial industry for over 20 years, working in large institutions such as Bank of America and Citi Private Bank to small RIAs such as Chevy Chase Trust and Quantis Wealth Management. Her experience ranges from Registered Sales Associate to Senior Trust Officer to Senior Client Relationship Manager.
Hsuan grew up in Southern California and moved to the DC area over 19 years ago. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California San Diego and her MBA from George Mason University. She currently lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, two boys and Mando, their Portuguese Water Dog. In her free time, she likes explore new restaurants and hangout with her family and friends.

Client Services Manager
Anna Collins-Davila is the lead Case Manager at Corrales & Co. She facilitates smooth backstage operations for advisors and clients in our financial planning process.
Anna grew up in Thomasville, GA and graduated from the Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer University. Currently she and her husband reside in Thomasville, and enjoy going to concerts and exploring new cities.
KARLA FITZGERALD, Chfc
Operations and Client Services Associate
Karla Fitzgerald is the Operations and Client Services Associate at Corrales & Co. She assists our Director of Operations on cash and trading operations as well as company operations. She also assists advisors and clients in financial planning. Karla has industry experience as a financial advisor and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.
Karla is originally from the state of São Paulo in Brazil. She earned her MBA from Faculdade Anhanguera and has an undergraduate degree in Languages from Universidade do Sagrado Coração. Karla, her husband, and her daughter reside in Weston, Florida. Karla is an animal and nature lover. She also loves staying active and exercising.

Bryant Ruano is the Vice President of Wealth Management at Corrales & Co. He is a dedicated wealth & business advisor specializing in partnering with first-generation founders, executives, and entrepreneurs to help them build, grow, and preserve their financial legacies.
With deep expertise in exit planning, tax strategy, and custom investment design, Bryant helps clients navigate key financial inflection points — from liquidity events to long-term wealth planning. Known as a strategic thinker and trusted partner, he blends high-level business acumen with a personal touch, always prioritizing what’s most important to his clients’ long-term success.
Outside of work, Bryant is a proud “girl-dad,” an avid golf enthusiast, and a fan of F1 racing.

Ariela Fux is the Associate Wealth Advisor at Corrales & Co., where she supports the firm’s advisors in delivering a seamless, high-touch experience for the firm’s high-net-worth clients. She plays a key role behind the scenes — preparing planning materials, organizing investment analyses, coordinating meetings, and ensuring follow-ups are executed with precision.
Raised in La Jolla, California, Ariela earned her B.S. in Business Administration and Real Estate from the University of San Diego and her M.S. in Finance from the University of Miami. She previously held roles at W.E. Family Offices and Goldman Sachs, and completed a summer internship with Corrales & Co. before joining the firm full-time.
Outside the office, Ariela enjoys weightlifting, playing tennis, and spending quality time with friends and family. A fun fact about her: she spent 18 years training as a ballerina—an experience that shaped her dedication, discipline, and attention to detail.
Michael Curran
Business Succession & Leadership Consulting
Michael J. Curran blends his legal, teaching, leadership, and management experience in order to help individuals and organizations reach their full potential. He is able to leverage his extensive background in growing, improving and leading companies and business units by working with people who desire to realize higher levels of satisfaction and potential.
Michael practiced law for seven years at the beginning of his career and then spent the past three decades working for public and private companies in the commercial real estate investment management industry. He has served as President, CEO, Partner, COO, and Senior Managing Director transforming organizations and motivating the people with whom he worked to learn and achieve far more than they thought possible.
Michael has extensive experience developing growth and change initiatives in both existing and start up organizations. He brings an abiding belief in the power of people to challenge, advance and transform themselves and their organizations by developing trust and demonstrating the power of culture, collaboration and teamwork that lifts individuals and organizations simultaneously.
Michael’s work includes coaching and consulting for individuals and organizations, helping them develop personal, organizational strategy, business solutions and overall goals. Through his teaching, consulting and facilitation, he is able to help people find new insights into how each person and organization can find more personal satisfaction and organization success through changes in how people think and work together.
Michael earned his MPA at Harvard University, his JD at the University of Louisville and his BA at Bellarmine University and holds a certification in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University. He is also an adjunct professor in the Masters of Real Estate Development program at George Mason University. He is on the board of the Charter School Development Corporation and is a member of the Greater Washington Board of Trade and the Urban Land Institute
Michael is an avid distance runner, collects contemporary art and photography, plays the guitar and is a photographer.
Michael Canarick, JD, LLM

Michael Canarick founded Canarick & Canarick in 2007 and has grown the firm into one of the top boutique estate planning law firms in New Jersey. After graduating from the University of Arizona College of Law in 2000, Michael received a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University in 2001. Michael is a member of the New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania Bars and has extensive knowledge of the estate and gift tax laws.
Michael has over 20 years of experience in counseling on tax and estate planning matters and developing strategies to create and preserve wealth through generations. His practices ranges from working as a trusted advisor to high-net worth individuals and successful business owners to helping young families put together their first estate plan. He was named one of the top Lawyers for Families by New Jersey Family Magazine and teaches classes to other attorneys on estate planning. Michael reviews and drafts legal documents for clients, educating them on the various options that exist regarding the distribution of their assets.
Michael has appeared on several podcasts and radio shows as an expert in estate planning. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, sports and spending time with his children, Ozzy and Nate.

Mark Madrid
Advisory Board – Government Contracting Strategist
Mark joins our firm as an Advisory Board Member focused on Government Contracting support to Small Business Owners. Previously, Madrid served as associate administrator for the Office of Entrepreneurial Development at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Before his tenure at the SBA, Madrid distinguished himself as a leader dedicated to economic equity. He served as CEO of the Latino Business Action Network, collaborating with Stanford University on the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative — a program that enhances U.S. economic strength through research and scaling of U.S. Latino and Latina businesses. Additionally, he led the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GAHCC) as CEO from 2014 to 2017, during which time the GAHCC was recognized as the 2015 United States Hispanic Chamber of the Year. Madrid’s career began on Wall Street with J.P. Morgan in 1995, culminating in significant roles in corporate banking before his impactful work in the national nonprofit and federal government sectors.
Madrid serves on the Board of Advisors at Trez.co, the Board of Directors for the Emmett and Miriam Texas State University McCoy College of Business Administration Development Foundation, the Advisory Council of the Hispanic Wealth Project and the Board of Directors of FRIENDS, Friends of the American Latino Museum, a national advocacy campaign striving for the creation of a Smithsonian National American Latino Museum.
